Hydrodynamics of Trickle Bed
Tile set-up consists of a glass column. Arrangement is made for changing the glass column conveniently and filling it with any type of packing required. Air from a regulated pressure vessel passes through a sparger and allowed to enter in the column at the top. Set-up is fully accompanied with manometers required. Solenoid valves are provided in the feed line at the top of column for instant release and close. The flow rate can be adjusted by operating the valves provided in respective line.
This device is based on complex interactions of gas and liquid phases with packed solids. It trickle beds at elevated pressures are scarce. You can determine the predictions by comparing with the experimental data. It expresses the interactions in different flow regimes available in trickle-bed reactors.
