The equipment consists of a miniature Pelton turbine with spear valve and mounted on bearings. The power produced by the turbine can be measured through a dynamometer. The bottom of the turbine is open in order to let the water flow inside the hydraulics bench. The front face of the turbine is transparent allowing an easy observation of the behaviour of the water jet on the blades. The pressure at inlet of the nozzle can be read on a pressure gauge.
